Tram to Mistrzejowice Work Schedule

Due to discrepancies appearing in the public space, we remind you that the schedule of works and their progress is regularly presented on the website and social media, as well as every two weeks during Construction Councils with the participation of representatives of UM Kraków, Councilors, and Residents.

To clear up any doubts, we present the main scope of works and their completion dates:

  • Completion of the reconstruction of the Mistrzejowice Loop in terms of tracks – Q4 2024
  • Execution of the intermediate slab of the Polsad station (level -1) – Q4 2024
  • Completion of the construction of diaphragm walls – Q1 2025
  • Execution of the bottom slab (level -2) of the Polsad station – Q2 2025
  • Completion of tunnel construction works – Q3 2025
  • Tunnel equipment installation – Q4 2025
  • Construction of the tram track – Q4 2025
  • Finishing works (small architecture and plantings) – Q1 2026

The Detailed Work Schedule, understood as part of the Public-Private Partnership Agreement, contains very detailed information on the implementation of the works. This document has been reported as protected by trade secrets due to its high level of detail and significant data regarding the technology of the works.

The reconstruction of the sewage system on Krzesławicka Street is starting.

On Monday, September 2nd, work will begin on the reconstruction of the stormwater drainage system on Krzesławicka Street.

Due to the work, vehicle traffic on Krzesławicka Street will be suspended, except for construction vehicles and residents, who will be able to enter only from Bohomolca Street heading west, up to Krzesławicka 11. As the work progresses, access will be further restricted.

Pedestrian traffic from Bohomolca Street will take place on the roadway, then will shift to a specially prepared structure along the tracks up to Dobrego Pasterza Street.

New traffic organization at Polsad Roundabout (Update 06.09)

Due to the construction of the underground station Rondo Polsadu as part of the Tram to Mistrzejowice project, a new traffic organization (stage 2.5) has been in effect since the weekend of August 31st/September 1st. This involves road closures, lane reductions, and the introduction of new traffic geometry.

A temporary roundabout will be created under the overpass.

The temporary intersection on Lublańska Street will be removed.

Minor updates to the traffic organization on Lublańska Street will be introduced soon. Exact dates and details of the changes will be provided in advance. Update: On the weekend of September 7th/8th, the Olsza II bus stop on Lublańska Street will be relocated closer to the overpass. The pedestrian crossing with a bicycle lane on Lublańska Street will be moved closer to the temporary small roundabout at Polsadu Roundabout.
