We inform you that on October 17th (Thursday), the entrance from Bohaterów Wietnamu Street to Młyńska Street will be temporarily closed due to road works. As part of the surface modernization, a new bituminous layer will be laid. The works are scheduled for one day, and we expect to complete them on the same day.
We suggest drivers use the detour via Pilotów and Kazimierza ze Skalbmierza Streets.
Additionally, we inform you that on October 17th and 18th (Thursday and Friday), there will be additional traffic disruptions on the section of Miechowity and Młyńska Streets due to preparatory works for the introduction of Temporary Traffic Organization.
Due to numerous inquiries about changes in traffic organization on Młyńska Street, we have prepared a more detailed map.
The exact dates for the changes will be announced after the upcoming weekend (October 11-12). If you have any additional questions, we are at your disposal!
September 2024 brought significant progress in the “Tram to Mistrzejowice” project. We completed the reconstruction of the heating main along Meissnera Street, paving the way for further works.
The works included the construction of the intermediate slab of the Polsad station, the construction of the final western roadway on Młyńska Street, and work related to the construction of retaining walls on Dobrego Pasterza Street. But that’s not all! There were definitely more works carried out.
To find out what September looked like on the construction site, we encourage you to watch the latest report.
Thank you for your interest and we invite you to follow the progress!
In the middle of next week, further changes in traffic organization on Młyńska Street will be introduced. The exact date of the changes will be announced after all formalities are completed.
As part of the new traffic organization, traffic will be shifted from the eastern to the western side of the road. Exit from Miechowity Street will be possible in both directions. Traffic at the intersection of Młyńska, Młyńska boczna, and Bohaterów Wietnamu will be possible in all directions.
In the area of Rondo Młyńskie, two parallel intersections will be created, between which the right of way will change. Exit from Kazimierza Chałupnika Street will only be possible to the right.
On Lublańska Street, diaphragm wall installations and excavations for ceiling slabs are being carried out.
The changes will be introduced on October 19th.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during the implementation of this important investment.
September was a month of intense activity and positive changes for us. In this summary, you will find information about the progress of our projects.
From the weekend of August 31st/September 1st, as part of the construction of the underground Rondo Polsadu station in the Tram to Mistrzejowice project, we introduced a new traffic organization. This included road closures and lane reductions, as well as the creation of a temporary roundabout under the overpass. The temporary intersection on Lublańska Street was also removed.
On September 2nd, we began work on the reconstruction of the stormwater drainage system on Krzesławicka Street. This is the beginning of changes that will certainly improve the living conditions of residents in this area.
The completion of the heating network reconstruction is another success for us. All works were completed before the heating season to minimize inconvenience for residents. Since the beginning of the tram line construction to Mistrzejowice, we have modernized over 2500 meters of underground heating infrastructure. The modern pipe layout under sidewalks, bike paths, and green areas allows easy access to the installation during maintenance, significantly reducing traffic disruptions.
Additionally, in the Mistrzejowice loop area, the construction of traction poles and pile foundations towards Dobrego Pasterza Street (along Jancarza, Bohomolca, and Krzesławicka Streets) is ongoing. As part of the works, we are also building ducts for traction cables on Młyńska Street, Rondo Polsadu, and near the Mistrzejowice loop. On Młyńska Street, the final western roadway is being constructed, which will be available to residents and users in mid-October. In September, work was carried out on the construction of the intermediate slab of the Polsad station, and diaphragm wall installation continued on Lublańska Street. On Dobrego Pasterza Street, work related to the construction of a retaining wall and the relocation of underground installations was carried out. At the Mistrzejowice Loop, work was done on the construction and reconstruction of the water channel, as well as the installation of the tram track.
On September 25th and 26th, evacuation exercises were conducted at the KST-IV construction site near Polsad station, focusing on evacuating a worker from a tunnel with limited access to the injured person. The exercises were conducted by the State Fire Service from Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 3 in Kraków, with the participation of Gulermak employees and subcontractors. The exercises involved reporting the incident to the PSP alarm center, guiding the rescue services to the incident site, providing necessary information to the shift commander, and then conducting the rescue operation using rope techniques. On September 25th, a demonstration of the use of portable firefighting equipment was also conducted. Participants learned the principles of using portable firefighting equipment and could practically test their skills on a prepared training field.
Exercises conducted in cooperation with PSP JRG 3 Kraków are important for us both in terms of raising employee awareness and testing the ability of special services to carry out rescue operations in the event of accidents on the construction site. Considering the complexity of the processes and the risks associated with construction works, increasing employee awareness of safety is one of the main tasks of the Health and Safety Department, especially on such a large contract as the construction of the Tram to Mistrzejowice, – says Sebastian Golemiec, Health and Safety Department coordinator.
We are also pleased with our participation in the educational program “Professional Life of the City.” In the second edition of this project, we will once again open the doors to the behind-the-scenes of building the new “Tram to Mistrzejowice” line, giving young people a unique opportunity to learn about the realities of working in the construction industry. The application collection ended on September 30th.
We thank everyone who supports us in these activities.
Between Wednesday, October 2nd and Thursday, October 3rd, the sidewalk along Młyńska Street, on the section between Miechowity Street and the overpass, will be closed. A detour has been designated under the building at 12 Młyńska Street.
Planned works are related to the sanitary installation. We apologize for the inconvenience. Below, we present a map with the designated detour.
Gϋlermak, the Private Partner in the KST IV Tram to Mistrzejowice project, is participating for the second time in the educational program “Professional Life of the City.” In the second edition of the project, our company will once again introduce participants to the behind-the-scenes of building the new “Tram to Mistrzejowice” line.
The project carried out by Gϋlermak is not only one of the largest infrastructure undertakings in Poland in the Public-Private Partnership formula but also an excellent example of how many professions collaborate on similar investments. Thanks to this cooperation, young people will have a unique opportunity to see the “life of the construction site” with their own eyes and learn about the schedules, difficulties, and challenges that specialists face daily.
During the workshops organized as part of the project, participants will gain knowledge and materials that will allow them to prepare a film report titled “Professional Life of the City.” We will pay special attention to presenting professions related to transport development, as well as socially important issues such as infrastructure accessibility for people with disabilities. The three best reports will be awarded, and the criteria will include topic relevance, creativity, and originality.
The aim of “Professional Life of the City” is to raise young people’s awareness of city development and the role of key professions that ensure its smooth functioning. The initiative of the Specialist Psychological and Pedagogical Counseling Center “Kraków Career Center” is aimed at seventh-grade primary school students who are facing the choice of their further educational and career path. Gϋlermak, together with the organizers, shows young people how diverse and important professions related to urban infrastructure, transport, and communication are.
We encourage all students to actively participate in the workshops and the film competition. The “Professional Life of the City” project is an excellent opportunity to learn about the professions that play a key role in shaping the future of our city.
On September 25, exercises involving Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 3 of the State Fire Service will take place in the tunnel near Rondo Polsad.
On September 25 and 26, important evacuation exercises were held at the KST-IV construction site near Polsad station, focusing on evacuating a worker from a tunnel with limited access to the injured person. The simulation was organized by the State Fire Service from Rescue and Firefighting Unit No. 3 in Kraków, aiming to enhance the safety and rescue skills of the workers involved in the project.
Both employees of Gulermak and representatives of subcontractors participated in the exercises to strengthen cooperation between different teams in the face of potential threats. The exercise scenario began with reporting the incident to the PSP alarm center. Participants learned to react quickly and act precisely. Then, construction workers acted as guides, leading the rescue services to the incident site. Effective communication with the shift commander, who was provided with necessary information about the situation, was a crucial element of these actions.
During the rescue operation, rope techniques were used, allowing for the safe and efficient extraction of the injured person from difficult terrain. Such exercises are a practical test of skills and a way to build a safety culture in the workplace.

Additionally, on September 25, a demonstration of the use of portable firefighting equipment was organized, complementing the exercise program with a practical element related to fire prevention. Participants had the opportunity not only to learn the principles of using firefighting equipment but also to test their skills on a specially prepared training field. This experience allowed for the improvement of firefighting techniques and increased employee confidence in emergency situations.
